Koustubha Jagadeesh is a digital illustrator based in Dubai. She was born and raised in Bengaluru, a vibrant city in India. The lush greenery had a profound influence on her artistic development. As a child she was fascinated by illustrations in books and comics, but originally pursued a career in the software industry. As a self-taught artist, Koustubha is constantly inspired by the work of fellow artists. Their talent and creativity drives her to create and improve more.
In her illustrations, Koustubha tries to express the emotions of each character, to create a connection with her work and the audience. As a digital illustrator, Koustubha prefers to illustrate in Procreate, and enjoys listening to podcasts about ancient history or aliens while working. Since starting as a freelancer, she has had the opportunity to work with clients such as Harper collins, Oxford University Press, DelhiPress and Soulsonshine Publishing.
When she is not drawing, she is experimenting in the kitchen, snuggling up with a good book, or watching Netflix. Harry Potter is one of her favorite books, continuing to amaze her with its endless creativity.

Testimonials
"When I decided to hire artists to illustrate my poetry, I’d intended to limit each artist to only one illustration per poem. However, when I saw the beatiful artwork Koustubha did, I broke my own rule and hired her to illustrate more. I highly recommend her – she is a very talented professional!"
